Umm, we have the triple bundle.
It's $100 for TV, Phone, and Internet.
Internet is $20
Phone is $20
TV is $50 for HD channels, etc.
$10 is the other fees.

We got the $100 deal when they had the triple bundle and we ran into problems when they were setting it up. Usually the $100 deal last a year and then you'll pay $200+ for it, but the manager called and apologize and say that we'll only need to pay $100/month for the next 6 years.

Don't you pay like $10+ taxes on your phone and TV bill?

That all seems pretty expensive to me? In the UK we can have all of that on Sky for £7.50/month. That's $12.24.

I highly doubt it's that price. C'mon really a triple bundle for less than 15 bucks a month, that's unheard of!

Shows how organisations are favoured eh? This is in the UK though. I think 7MBs is good for a home connection in the UK haha, I have to wait until 2013 for a company to install a line in my area that enables me to get an actual decent speed. Then again, that shows how reluctant companies are to spend money on infastructure, I'd happily pay more for my broadband if they hurried up with the installation!

Why do you need over 7mbps? What are you trying to do that you can't do now?

At home I get a theoretical maximum of 1.5mbps (even my phone's WiFi hotspot is faster, getting up to 5-9mbps depending on the day) but I don't mind it. I can stream Netflix (just not HD), I can do VoIP, I can watch YouTube videos, etc.

I just like having big numbers haha. They make me feel special. If I had Chiuy's speed above me, I'd be doing alot more on the internet than I do currently, haha.

Haha oh my Chiuy.

So when you have insanely fast speeds like that do you notice near-instant browsing or is it like on a slower connection (like are you noticing that the limit on how fast pages load is on the server end)?

I definitely do see a difference between my house and college when I go there.  And to me, even that 0.1 second faster is useful to me, all those little numbers add up!

When I'm browsing/surfing the web with 100mbps+.... or even 25mbps+, I don't notice the difference unless I'm streaming in 1080p high def videos.
All the web pages seem to load in an instant. The only good part about having 100mbps is downloading a huge file or uploading huge files onto servers. Other than that, I don't know why you would need 100mbps+ of speed.

For me, at 1.5mbps it only bothers me when a YouTube video takes four or five seconds to buffer before starting to play sometimes (but sometimes it's near instant) and it bothers me when Hulu can't steram continuously sometimes (even when buffered) because someone else in the house is doing something (like watching a huge 40 minute YouTube video).

It also bothers me that uploads are so slow every time I try to update something on this server. Uploading single files to Gmail is decent though.

I got a new DSL modem yesterday because the old one died. I think my speeds are still the same :)

Posted Image

I get higher speeds when I tether through my phone :) I've actually downloaded torrents and large files over it because it's faster, but my home internet is decent for surfing and watching videos.
