I recently bought a PS3 and I'm happy with it so I will go with PS3.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 is basically the same console with different features. Xbox 360 might have more player due to it release date, and most youtube commentator is on the Xbox 360. Most of the popular games out there is usually release on both console so as far as gaming goes, it the same , and plus you don't have to pay for online. Sure sure it only $60 dollar a year but why waste $60 if you can save it? In addition, the PS3 have a fully functional browser and a blue-ray player. One thing I think the PS3 lack is the Xbox "Party Chat", with it, friend can communicate across games. In another words, PS3 is a much more simpler console that will provide you the same or better experiences as the Xbox would .

Blaze, what can you tell us about the multiplayer experience with both consoles? Some people say that the Xbox Gold is paid but the network is much better. (Maybe that's just from a long time ago.)

Well you get what you pay for because the playstation network was taken off line by a hacker and stole lots of personal info from the users of psn.So if you pay for nothing you get poor security. So I rather pay for mutiplayer than to have my credit card nember stolen.

Anonymous could take down Microsoft infrastructure is something sparked them to do so. The reason they took down PSN is because a court case about piracy sparkem them to take it down due to the outcome.
That's why I respect anonymous because they simply don't go aruond closing things for fun they have a legitimate reason too.

What was the outcome of the case?

And anonymous denies taking down the Playstation Network ;)

But the PS3 lets you watch Blu-Ray movies :) So you don't have to buy a separate bluray player Posted Image

I like the XBox 360 controller much better when it comes to FPS games.
But overall, the PS3 has more stuff, such as the blu-ray which saved us $200 from buying a blu-ray player.
Plus, I really hate pay monthly fee to play online even if it is a little better, but I like to play online for free.

Blu Ray isn't a deal breaker for me.  And people please stop saying it saves you hundreds of dollars.  As shown by this link, Blu Ray players are so cheap nowadays, soon we'll be able to buy them for like 50 bucks.

They both have good exclusives.  PS3 has Uncharted, Killzone, and Infamous.  Xbox 360 has Halo and Gears of War.

Xbox 360 has much more online play options.  Party chat is fantastic and is supported by many games.  It's possible for me to be playing Ground War on Modern Warfare 2 and having a discussion with 2 of my friends who are currently playing Assassin's Creed and Halo.  Of course, that comes at a price of $50 a year.

However, what I always say is that both are fantastic entertainment systems, and they are just too good to say that one is definitely better than the other.  So basically if the majority of your friends play Xbox, get an Xbox.  If the majority play PS3, get a PS3.  Personally I would actually rather have a PS3.  But at the same time I would rather play with the overwhelming majority of my friends, so it's Xbox for me.  Though I do wish I would get to enjoy titles such as Metal Gear Solid 4, I still enjoy my 360 very much.

So I guess if the majority of your friends don't play videogames then you shouldn't get a console :P Ok sounds good.

No.. in that case you would get whichever one you have a personal preference towards.  But if you're borderline and have friends that play video games, might as well pick the one that you'll be able to play with them online with.

I think it's cool that it has over 70 replies :)

Regarding the game systems, I haven't kept up with the games or the consoles or anything, but in my mind the Xbox still dominates (that's what my friends still discuss).

Xbox 360 IMO. I had a PlayStation 2 when I was around 8 and played it for 5 years. Either way, I would much rather play on a Xbox then on a PS3.
