Does anyone know how I can make my website's information private? Things such as name, telephone number, address, etc. I tried domainsbyproxy.com, but I need a GoDaddy or BlueRazor domain in which I don't have. It's HostGator. This is urgent soooo please respond as soon as possible. :)

Doesn't Hostgator provide any type of Whois Privacy service? All the registrars I've used have had it as an option.

You have to check with your domain provider for whois privacy. Usually they charge you an extra $2.00 for it, but I believe Name.com is free and you can change the setting anytime.

Name.com advertises Whois Privacy for $8 per year, but right now you can purchase it for a domain for only $4.

That just confused me.. what should I be using name.com for?

& Techie, do you know where I can change the information? Something like a mask, where I don't have to change it, just something that covers up my name, address, telephone number, etc.

You can pay services (like Name.com) that will put up their own information on there instead of your own. If anyone ever needs to contact you with legal matters, they contact Name.com and Name.com forwards their contact information to you, so you can get in touch with the "contacter" that way.

Oh alright, well I got the issue fixed. I contacted HostGator and they simply enabled Privacy Protection. Don't know why I didn't think of contacting them in the first place.
